AU where Bertholdt works in a diner and pretty much exclusively cooks breakfast so he always smells like pancakes. After work he usually takes a shower to get rid of the smell but he has a date with Annie so he doesn’t have time.

When he greets her and embraces her she buries her face against him and breathes deeply. He’s confused and apologizes for smelling weird.

"No you smell like pancakes. I love pancakes." She proceeds to sniff him every chance she gets that night.
